TSA Not There to Protect You, But they Did Just Get Caught Smuggling Lots of Cocaine

TSA-Uniform-drug

The T.S.A. has shown itself to be one of the most corrupt and inept federal agencies ever created. Though put in place to protect the public from “terrorism”, they have never caught one terrorist, or foiled a terrorist plot. They have however shown themselves to be great theives and liars. Are’nt you glad your taxes are paying for this??

Earlier this week, three former TSA agents were indicted on charges of defrauding the government and smuggling cocaine.
According to the indictment, 35-year old Joseph Scott, 32-year-old Michael Castaneda, and 27-year-old Jessica Scott, all former TSA agents at San Francisco International Airport, were involved in an ongoing operation to help transport drugs through airport security.

Federal investigators were tipped off about the operation and sent undercover agents to arrange their own controlled deals with the TSA agents to gather additional evidence on them. Sting operations occurred between May 2013 and April 2014, where the TSA agents in question knowingly allowed large amounts of cocaine to pass through security checkpoints and through the x-ray scanners without an additional search.

Although, the evidence was collected last year, the suspects were just recently arrested before the indictment was unsealed on November 9th, 2015.The indictment alleges that the three defendants conspired to use their positions as Transportation Security Officers to allow passengers to smuggle real and simulated cocaine through airport security checkpoints. The defendants all were assigned to SFO. The defendants arranged for passengers carrying narcotics in their carry-on luggage to pass through the x-ray machine at a security checkpoint line without adequately screening the luggage for explosives, incendiaries, weapons, or other threats to security. Through the use of confidential sources and undercover agents, law enforcement discovered that defendants made these arrangements for a fee on five occasions between May 2013 and April 2014.

Security checkpoints are somewhat of a utopian idea, and they never seem to work because the incentive of a high-priced black market goods causes people to go great lengths to smuggle things. That same incentive corrupts security agents into becoming contraband smugglers themselves. This principle can be applied to nearly any black market item or situation, and can be seen in both prisons and music festivals, where strict no-drug policies have not prevented an abundance of drugs from flowing through security checkpoints.

Millions in CIA “ghost money” paid to Afghan president’s office

Karzaicorrupt

Your “Tax dollars” hard at work buying off corrupt governments to continue a false war on Terrorism and (some) drugs.

Tens of millions of U.S. dollars in cash were delivered by the CIA in suitcases, backpacks and plastic shopping bags to the office of Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai for more than a decade, according to the New York Times, citing current and former advisers to the Afghan leader.

The so-called “ghost money” was meant to buy influence for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) but instead fuelled corruption and empowered warlords, undermining Washington’s exit strategy from Afghanistan, the newspaper quoted U.S. officials as saying.

“The biggest source of corruption in Afghanistan”, one American official said, “was the United States.”

The CIA declined to comment on the report and the U.S. State Department did not immediately comment.

For more than a decade the cash was dropped off every month or so at the Afghan president’s office, the newspaper said.

Handing out cash has been standard procedure for the CIA in Afghanistan since the start of the war.

For most of Karzai’s 11-year reign, there has been little interest in anti-corruption in the army or police. The country’s two most powerful institutions receive billions of dollars from donors annually but struggle just to recruit and maintain a force bled by high rates of desertion.

Child Porn, Coke Smuggling, Illegal Immigration: Thanks “Homeland” Security

First.. the fact that we have an interior security force called the “homeland” security is disturbing. I grew up never reffering to or hearing of the U.S. reffered to as “the homeland”. Which to me reminds me of Nazi propaganda ( Die Vaterland). It’s no surprise that Big government is corrupt to the core, but for those who think that this is put into place for your “national security” I hope this shatters those illusions.

Border Patrol agents smuggling weed and coke. Immigration agents forging documents and robbing drug dealers. TSA employees caught with child porn. Those are just a few of the crimes perpetrated by Department of Homeland Security employees in just the past year.Since the creation of the Department of Homeland Security nearly a decade ago, the agency’s inspector general has been tasked with uncovering corruption, waste and criminality within its own ranks. The IG has had his hands full.

According to a newly released DHS inspector general’s summary of its significant investigations, 318 DHS employees and contractors were arrested in 2011. That’s about one arrest per weekday of the men and women who are supposed to be keeping the country safe. The report lets us not only see how corrupt some agents tasked with protecting the homeland can be, it also gives us a scale of the problem. In short: There are a lot of dirty immigration and border officers.

Border corruption may take the form of cash bribes, sexual favors, and other gratuities in return for allowing contraband or undocumented aliens through primary inspection lanes or even protecting and escorting border crossings; leaking sensitive law enforcement information to persons under investigation and selling law enforcement intelligence to smugglers; and providing needed documents such as immigration papers,” Charles Edwards, the acting inspector general for DHS, told Congress earlier this month.
