The Department of Homeland Security working with Boeing to create a ‘brain chip’ for its self-destructing Black smartphone that can ‘learn’ its owners behaviour. If it spots unusual behaviour, it could alert security forces – and even self destruct.

The technology powering the devices potentially could identify the user’s walking style,Officials would be alerted if the gait does not match the authorized user’s walk – a red flag the phone might have fallen into the wrong hands. The ‘secret sauce’ of the mobile device is a so-called neuromorphic computer chip that simulates human learning.

The companies ‘pretty much are leveraging user behavior information’ from data gathered by sensors found on any standard consumer smartphone, Those feelers could include microphones, cameras and touchpads.’If successful, this technology can go into any device the manufacturers are willing to integrate it with’ and would meet military, DHS and other federal agency information security specifications.

Pentagon Chief Information Officer Terry Halvorsen told reporters on Monday what the Pentagon plans to learn from the private sector, and confirmed it is deploying the top-secret smartphones in the fall, but declined to provide any more detail .”I don’t want people to know when we’re actually going live with those,” he said.

The Boeing Black phone being developed by the Chicago-based aerospace and defense contractor, which is best known for jetliners and fighter planes, can self-destruct if it is tampered with. The device encrypts calls and is aimed at government agencies and others that need to keep communications and data secure.

So the question is how long before this technology is perfected and integrated into commercial cell phones for the public? Although it’s already been confirmed that you can be tracked and traced through the current technology of cell phones. This is the perfect platform for full spectrum surveillance of the public. And we would probably even demand such technology….
